Any good business is dependent on it’s partners and early on in my practice I decided to only partner with the best! I’ve enjoyed working with Alistair Robson and LD Path for the majority of the past decade and rely on his huge experience as one of the world’s best dermatopathologists. More recently I’ve teamed up with Pharmacierge to provide an online pharmacy service with home delivery and Miriam at Roseway Labs to provide patients with bespoke compounded hair loss products.
With any doctor there is a limit to one’s skills. Whilst I do a lot of skin cancer surgery, I am not a Mohs trained margin controlled surgeon and if this is the most appropriate treatment for you, I will refer you to my colleague Dr Bav Shergill who specialises in this area. There are also times when you will need the assistance of a plastic surgeon and I work closely with Mr TC Teo, Mr Charles Nduka and Mr Nick Parkhouse. For hair restoration surgery I work very closely with my good colleague and leading UK expert in this area, Dr Edward Ball, who runs the Maitland clinic in Portsmouth.
Lastly, I work closely with my colleague and friend, Dr Pallavi Gupta, consultant dermatologist in Brighton. Our practices complement each other and we can offer support to each other’s patients when on holiday. She is a great second opinion and has a wealth of knowledge of medical dermatology.
Alistair Robson & LD Path
Dr Alistair Robson is a qualified general (FRCPath) and specialist dermatopathologist (DipRCPath) and was a consultant dermatopathologist for 14 years at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas’ Hospital, London. He is active in clinical research and has published over 100 articles. He has over 15 years experience of teaching dermatopathology to both dermatologists and pathologists, including the Kings College MSc course. He was a co-founder of the International London Dermatopathology Symposium and a co-founder and teacher on the UK ABC course in Dermatopathology. He has been an invited speaker in the UK, Europe, the United States, Australia, Brazil, Malaysia, India and the Middle East. He is a member of the International Society of Dermatopathology and the British Society of Dermatopathology.
Dr Robson is currently working as a visiting pathologist at the national referral Lisbon Institute of Oncology, Portugal, and as a Consultant Dermatopathologist for the specialist private UK pathology company LDPath Group.
The LDPath group provide a first class pathology reporting, with rapid turnaround of cases, secure reporting and second opinion service using international experts when needed. They are always available when needing to discuss complex cases, which is why I have insisted on only using them for my cases.
Roseway Pharmaceuticals
Miriam Martinez-Callejas has received international training from experts around the world and holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, with extensive experience in Biopharmacy research, compounding, and nutrition. She is responsible for clinical areas of the compounding pharmacy, product development and quality assurance.
My partnership with Miriam and Roseway labs provides my patients with bespoke compounded hair loss products on a prescription basis. For example, minoxidil products without propylene glycol, or mixed with finasteride or oestradiol, for patients who can not have these orally. Please note this is only available to registered patients of mine with ongoing supervision on a prescription basis.
Pharmacierge
Pharmacierge is a private pharmacy concierge service, which receives online prescriptions from me and then will arrange next day delivery to you. They can even accommodate international deliveries! A mobile number is required to accompany the prescription. You will receive a discrete text or phone call providing a link to a site to pay for the medication and arrange delivery. You will need to sign for your prescription and they can deliver to your place of work if that is more convenient. The cost is comparable with the high street chemists, but delivered to your door for no extra charge.
This partnership makes it easier for me to answer prescription requests quickly, avoids patients having to pick up or wait for prescriptions to be sent out and avoids the queues or ordering time at local pharmacies. It also provides a solution for prescribing for all my “video” consultation patients who I am not seeing physically. I get informed directly if there is a supply problem and can alter the prescription, avoiding the frustration and delays that have happened in the past if something was not available locally.
If you have any problems with your prescription ring 0207 631 1269 or visit their website.

Dr Edward Maitland Ball is a hair transplant surgeon and the founder of The Maitland Clinic in Portsmouth, UK. Previously the clinical director of Ziering UK, in London, Dr Ball opened his own boutique hair restoration clinic in 2015. The Maitland Clinic soon developed a reputation as one of the UK’s leading hair transplant clinics, highly regarded for its ethical approach, patient experience and natural-looking results.
Dr Ball is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, the Royal College of General Practitioners, the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons, and is a diplomate and examiner for the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgeons. Dr Ball is a fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons, a member of the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons and is recommended by the American Hair Loss Association.
Dr Pallavi Gupta
Dr Pallavi Gupta is a UK trained consultant dermatologist and shares the clinical leadership with me for the local NHS dermatology service at Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals Trust. She is an expert in Hidradenitis Suppurativa, running the regional service for Kent, Surrey and Sussex. She has extensive experience in medical dermatology, often dealing with the most complex cases. She is the regional representative for the British Association of Dermatologists and sits on the committee of the British Society for Medical Dermatology.
Our partnership allows extensive cross covering during periods of leave (holidays, conferences and courses), a second opinion when needed and the ability to share cases to maximise the benefit of our expertise so we can offer patient’s the best service. It also offers my patients a female approach for those that would be more comfortable being examined by a woman. In return, I can offer surgical expertise for any patients requiring skin cancer surgery.
