This Thursday I will be starting the first of monthly education sessions aimed at GPs. This is following on from the successful Mole Hill series I ran during the first lock down last May. Instead of weekly sessions, we will be hosting these talks on a monthly basis and I will be sharing the topics with my colleague, Dr Pallavi Gupta. The Montefiore hospital are kindly organising and providing the back room support and any interested GP will need to register with them to get the access codes – contact Marcos Marcos.FERREIRA@spirehealthcare.com
The first talk will update the audience on the latest changes affecting our secondary care service in Brighton and what services are still running and what has had to be suspended. This will include an introduction to a new virtual two week pathway for melanoma. I’ll look back on 2020 and share the lessons we learnt during the first lockdown. The main talk will be tips on managing dermatology virtually covering all the common skin lesions and common rashes and this will serve as intro to the rest of the 2021 programme.
